THE Abellana National School (ANS) Pomeroy routed Don Bosco Victorias, 6-2 yesterday to grab a share of the lead with defending champion San Carlos City in the ongoing U16 football competition of the 4th Pintaflores National Invitational Tournament in San Carlos City.
Both teams have so far tallied two straight wins good for six points after San Carlos City beat Negros Oriental Football Association (NORFA)- Dumaguete, 3-1.
The co-leaders will tangle today at 1 p.m. to determine who will assume solo leadership.
ANS head coach Francis Ramirez said his boys dominated the match, but faced problems finishing their set plays.
Pedro Agustin Diao scored a hat-trick to put ANS out of reach.
The first of his three goals was scored in the 18th minute while his second (57th minute) and third (64th) were posted in the second half.
The rest of ANS’ goals came from Kerth Ryan Arranguez (45th), John Michael Gomora (48th) and Rogelio Castellon Jr. in the 90th minute.
