CITY OF CAUAYAN, Isabela — Two suspected drug traffickers were killed in a clash with police who raided a suspected shabu laboratory here Sunday afternoon shortly before President Duterte visited Ilagan City.

Kim Punzalan Uy, alias Atong Lee, Chua and Lung, and an unidentified Asian-looking man died when they allegedly fought the police and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency who served a search warrant on a gated compound at Prenza street at 3:30 p.m.

The police found assorted chemical precursors and essential chemicals and laboratory equipment which police said were used in the manufacture of methamphetamine hydrochloride.

Police said they also found a handgun and a 9mm machine pistol.

Probers said the apparatus could produce 200 kilos of shabu.
