NBI deputy director suffers fatal heart attack at 51

A deputy director of the National Bureau of Investigation passed away early Thursday.

The NBI said lawyer Leopoldo Leuterio died of a heart attack at the age of 51.

Earlier serving as an NBI head agent assigned at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Leuterio left the agency in 2004 to join the private sector. He returned and was appointed deputy director for regional operations by President Rodrigo Duterte on Aug. 4, 2016.
