Biazon: I won’t fight suspension
Though professing his innocence, Muntinlupa City Rep. Rozzano Rufino Biazon on Friday said he would not contest his 90-day suspension by the Sandiganbayan while he faces graft charges in connection with the multibillion-peso pork barrel scam.
“As I have said before, I submit myself to the legal processes and the preventive suspension is mandatory in accordance with law,” Biazon said.
No objection
“I did not object to the motion by the prosecution. In fact, I even requested that the preventive suspension begin on Oct. 10 but the court only issued the order on Oct. 17,” he added in a statement.
In a resolution dated Oct. 17, the Sandiganbayan ordered the 90-day preventive suspension of Biazon, along with Budget Undersecretary Mario Relampagos and his staffers Rosario Nunez, Lalaine Paule and Marilou Bare.
