Classes suspended in Metro Manila, several Luzon provinces due to ‘Lawin’

Local governments in areas affected by Supertyphoon “Lawin” (internationally known as Haima) suspended classes for Thursday even before the typhoon made landfall, according to the Department of Education.

Classes in all levels, in both public and private schools, are suspended in Metro Manila, along with the following provinces:

Abra

Apayao

Baguio City

Batangas

Benguet, including Baguio City

Bulacan

Cagayan, including Calayan Group of Islands

Cavite

Ifugao

Ilocos Norte

Ilocos Sur

Isabela, including Ilagan and Santiago City

Kalinga

Laguna

La Union

Mountain Province

Nueva Ecija

Nueva Vizcaya

Pampanga, including Angeles City

Pangasinan, including Dagupan City

Polillo Group of Islands

Quirino

Rizal

Tarlac

Zambales, including Olangapo City
