Defense chief’s appointment OKd by CA panel

The ad interim appointment of Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana has been recommended for confirmation by a panel of the powerful Commission on Appointments (CA).

No member of the CA’s committee on national defense objected when a motion to recommend Lorenzana’s confirmation was made on the table.

The recommendation will then be elevated to the CA plenary for further actions. CDG
