Bullet that hit car of Aguirre’s close-in security could be stray slug
The bullet that hit the vehicle of Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre’s II close-in security could be a stray bullet, Justice Undersecretary Erickson Balmes said quoting a report from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Balmes said based on the examination conducted by the ballistician, the bullet no longer has an impact.
“Hindi na naka penetrate sa plastic sa loob ng tail light. Possibly, according to him (ballistician) malayo na ang pinanggalingan ng bullet na tumama sa sasakyan,” Balmes said.
(The bullet wasn’t able to penetrate the plastic inside the tail light. Possibly, according to him, the bullet came from a great distance from the vehicle.)
The incident occurred around 5:45 Tuesday morning when Senior Inspector Ricaredo Sarmiento Marasigan felt that something hard was thrown at his red Hyundai Eon while traversing along Lower Bicutan.
