7 MSU-IIT grads sweep metallurgical ENG’G exams

Graduates from a university in Mindanao swept seven of the Top 10 places in the Metallurgical Engineering Licensure Examination held in Manila and Davao this month.

Results of the exam sent by the Professional Regulation Commission showed that seven alumni from the Iligan Institute of Technology of the Mindanao State University (MSU-IIT) occupied the top one to four, six, and nine to 10 places in the examination given by the Board of Metallurgical Engineering.

The top nine shared the slot with alumni from the University of the Philippines-Diliman, whose graduates landed in the top five, seven and eight.

Aliza Marie Padilla Salces topped the exams with a rating of 87.85 percent, Jeraldine Pasaol Lastam was second with 87.3 percent, and MaryRose Joy Torres Aparece was third with 85.65 percent.

In fourth place was Mark Ianne Ledesma Nuñez, with a rating of 85.5 percent; in sixth Maria Theresa Reserva Raganas with 83.55 percent, and Artric Jeano Valde Morilla in tenth, with 82.45 percent.

Stephen John Jamora Sanchez shared the top nine slot with UP-Diliman alumni Mark Jayson Famisan Cleope and Terence Justin Festin Dy Echo, with a rating of 82.6 percent.

UP Diliman graduate Jamie Jane Fajiculay Apolonio was fifth, with 85.15 percent, and schoolmates Narciso Recella Preclaro Jr. and Charles Morgan Raymundo Sayson in the seventh and eighth places, with 82.85 percent and 82.8 percent, respectively. —Kristine Felisse Mangunay
