The University of the Philippines swept all Top 10 places in the latest Geodetic Engineer Licensure Exam held in Manila in October, along with graduates of several other schools.
The Professional Regulatory Commission on Thursday announced the successful examinees led by Vigel D. Ramirez of UP who shared the honor with Dianne Lea L. Damian of Negros Oriental State University-Dumaguete and Daniel Evidente Dumlao of Saint Louis University, all with a rating of 85.2 percent.
In second were UP graduates Clarizza Mae R. Braza, Ian C. Estacio and John Edison D. Vergara, with a grade of 85 percent.
Ben Joseph J. Harder came in third with a rating of 84.8 percent while Sandra S. Pulmano was fourth with a grade of 84.6 percent.
Sharing the fifth spot with a rating of 84.2 percent were Mark Moness P. Biong and Edison P. Paraiso. Justine Ace S. Santos shared sixth place with Mark Angielou E. Bala of Caraga State University-Butuan City, with a rating of 83.8 percent.
Lorenzo Emmanuel P. de la Paz garnered seventh place with a grade of 83.4 percent and Jon Lysander R. Reyes was eighth with 83.2 percent.
Hanna Mae H. Garcia ranked ninth together with Paolo P. Carpitanos of Feati University, with a rating of 82.8 percent.
Johnel R. Bacani came in 10th place with 82.6 percent.
According to the PRC, UP Diliman was the top performing school, with all the 54 from the university who took the exam hurdling it. It was also the only school that had 50 or more examinees and at least an 80-percent passing percentage in the licensure exam given by the Board of Geodetic Engineering.
Of the 555 total examinees, 232 passed, the PRC said. Registration for the professional ID card and certificate of registration will be conducted online on Oct. 19-20.
