Another weather disturbance is seen to enter the Philippine area of responsibility on Tuesday, a day after the projected exit of severe Tropical Storm “Karen.”
The tropical depression was last located 1,980 kilometers east of Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
If it enters PAR, it will be locally named “Lawin.”
Pagasa said the weather disturbance may be stronger than Karen (Sakira).
Karen is expected to exit PAR by Monday noon. It is projected to make landfall over Quezon early Sunday before it crosses Central Luzon./rga
