DEVELOPING: Protest turns violent in Manila City Jail

A commotion erupted at the Manila City Jail on Thursday morning as inmates conducted a noise barrage and climbed roofs of the prison facility, according to a report on Radyo Inquirer.

The report said the tension ensued after an Oplan Galugad operation.

Two gunshots were also heard in the jail, it added.

The report said units of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and Manila Police District-Special Weapons and Tactics team were on site. YG/IDL/rga
