President gives farm tractors, motorized fiberglass boats to farmers, fishers in Basilan, gives P10M to local execs

ZAMBOANGA CITY — President Duterte arrived at the Police Regional Office here Monday afternoon and went straight to hold a closed door command conference with top military and police officials of Western Mindanao.

As of this posting, he was speaking in front of police officers and is broadcast live about his pet issue, his war on drugs and his worries about losing two policemen a day.

Mr. Duterte and Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol earlier went to Lamitan, Basilan where he distributed farm and fishery assistance.

Seven farm tractors and 70 motorized fiberglass bancas were distributed to members of the farm and fishery sectors. Cheques worth P5 million were distributed to the local governments of the cities of Isabela and Lamitan.

In Zamboanga City, the President will have a “talk to the men” session to about 500 police forces at an open multi-purpose hall.

Eight individuals and groups will also be presented to Duterte as local heroes for successful drug operations in Zamboanga Peninsula.  SFM
