That’s one cross-out in her long list of “wishes.”

Edie Simms, a 102-year-old woman from Missouri, was “arrested” by cops and was ushered in to the police unit before she delivered her handmade gifts to nearby residents, KPLR 11 reported.

She has been constantly donating handmade gifts to the aging residents of Five Star Senior Center in St. Louis for two years, but never delivered to them in person. Since the elderly woman never experienced being arrested by the police, one of the center’s volunteers sought assistance from the “good guys” to fulfill her “bucket list” wish.

“These types of events and Ms. Simms help us do that and we’re more than happy to do this type of thing,” Sgt. John McLaughlin told the news site. “We love it and we get more out of it than the seniors do.” The policemen recalled that Simms requested them to handcuff her during the whole ride. Upon arriving at the center, she proudly raised her hands and flaunted her handcuffs.

Simms handed out scarves, pillows, eyeglass cases, pairs of socks and scarves to the residents on Friday, Sept. 30, the same day she was “nabbed” by cops. Last year, she splurged the same residents with 413 handmade items.

“I made my first dress that was wearable,” Simms told the news site. “I’m not saying it was good, but I wore it to school when I was ten years old.”

After the heartwarming activity, Simms left a timely piece of advice to anyone who wants to be a centenarian just like her.

“Keep going, don’t ever stop whatever it is you’re doing and spend some time doing community service because sometimes the person you reach out and touch is the only person that they will talk to in a day,” she said, according to KPLR 11.  Gianna Francesca Catolico.
