‘Go to hell,’ Duterte tells human rights groups

BUTUAN CITY – Guess who got President Duterte’s ‘go to hell’ wishes lately.

President Duterte’s favorite suggestion to critics has been sent to human rights groups decrying the government’s aggressive campaign that has spawned drug-related killings whether in legitimate police operations or in murders contracted by drug syndicates.

Mr. Duterte, in a speech before policemen in the Caraga Region on Thursday afternoon, said there was nothing criminal about him telling drug dealers to get out of the country or take the risk of being killed.

He said the campaign against drugs has been a matter of “self-preservation” for the country. SFM/rga
