A motorcycle rider suspected of being a drug user was shot dead by two riding-in-tandem suspects on Wednesday night in Pasig City.

The victim, identified as Ronald Avache, was with his wife when the shooting happened at around 9 pm in Barangay Sabat, the police told the INQUIRER in an interview.

Witnesses told the INQUIRER Avache was riding the motorcycle with his wife when they were hailed by two riding-in-tandem suspects. The Avache couple were on their way home from buying “balut” (aborted duck’s egg).

Witnessed said the suspects first asked Avache’s wife to step down from the motorcycle the couple were riding on before Avache was killed. The wife, whose name has yet to be identified, went hysterical.

Avache’s uncle, Ruben San Victory told INQUIRER.net in an interview, that Avache was a drug user.
“Alam ko may bisyo siya, gumagamit siya. Sinabi ko na sa kanya tumigil ka na, ikaw gagawa ng buhay mo” he said.

(I know he had a vice. He was a [drug] user. I told him to stop [because] he’s the one creating [his own life].)
Avache sustained gunshot wounds in the head. Recovered at the scene were five empty bullet shells. TVJ
