Home-schooled children from the Catholic Filipino Academy (CFA) Friday Club performed at the wake of Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago as a tribute on Friday afternoon.
Thirteen grade school children played four songs: “Amazing Grace,” “Seek Ye First,” “Sing a New Song” and “Ode to Joy.”
“We do fund-raising for the less fortunate. We wanted to play here because masarap mag-serve sa taong nagse-serve,” said CFA music instructor Ford Pundamiera.
The CFA based in Cubao, Quezon City, was founded in 1995 by preacher and best-selling author Bo Sanchez.
Santiago died on Thursday morning at the age of 71 after battling lung cancer for two years.
