2 WOMEN ROBBED

TWO women were robbed at gunpoint in barangay Maguikay, Mandaue City, at dawn yesterday.

Valuables worth at least P20,000 were taken from Marites Olila, 20, and Cherry Lovely Orongan, 20.

Police said the two women were walking near a gas station when two men blocked their path and pointed guns at them.

Taken from Olila was a cellular phone worth P4,000. Orongan lost two cellphones worth P18,000 and P300.

PAINTER STABBED BY NEIGHBOR

A 28-YEAR-OLD painter was stabbed and wounded by his neighbor in barangay Agus, Lapu-Lapu City.

Michael Abari sustained multiple stab wounds in the body. He was rushed to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital.

The suspect, a certain Ponce, fled after the incident.

Police said Ponce and Abari bore a grudge against each other after they figured in a fight during a basketball game.

GUARD SHOOTS BOY

POLICE arrested a security guard who shot and wounded a 14-year-old boy in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City, yesterday.

Police said the shooting happened in a private compound where Patricio Auxtero of Sea Lion Security Agency was detailed.

Police said Auxtero saw the boy enter the compound around noon. The guard told the boy to go out.

Police said the guard fired a warning shot using a shotgun when the boy ignored him.

The boy allegedly still did not leave despite the warning, prompting the guard to fire another shot, hitting the boy in the arm.

The boy was rushed to a Cebu City hospital.
