Kenyan bags 10k title in St. Peter Life Run

Kenyan Joshpat Kiptanui completed a successful weekend after topping the 2nd Sa int Peter Life Run held at the Asia Town IT Park yesterday.

Kiptanui won the 12-kilometer race of last Saturday’s N-Dash of the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA).

Yesterday, he won the 10k category of the Life Run with a time of 35 minutes and 39.75 seconds.

Michelle Gilbuena was also on a streak over the weekend when.

She won the women’s 10k with a time of 45 minutes and 48.06 seconds. She also dominated Saturday’s 12k category of the N-Dash.

Around 1,400 runners joined the Halloween-inspired running event organized by Saint Peter Memorial Life Plans.

Sherwin Managuil and Ian Bernido came in second and third in the men’s side.  Cristy Sevellino-Tutor and Meriam Miranda were second and third in the women’s side.

Meanwhile, Mendel Lopez topped the 5k category

Lopez, who lost to Kiptanui in the 12k run of N-Dash, clocked 18 minutes and 26 seconds to rule the men’s side.

Rendy Codera and Junelito Aroso rounded off the top three male runners in the 5k run.

University of Southern Philippines-Foundation’s (USP-F) Aiza Suaybaguio ruled the 5k female side with a time of 20 minutes and 58 seconds.

Jhean Andrin and Annie Manayan settled for second and third, respectively.

The 10k top placers went home with P7,000  while P5,000 was given to the first placers in the 5k category.
