Two drug suspects killed in Benguet antidrug op

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Two suspected drug pushers were killed in a Wednesday (Sept. 28) clash with the police during a buy bust operation in Benguet capital La Trinidad.

Jerry Toda and Allan Lorenzo died in a 2 p.m. gun fight with policemen who gave chase when they sped off in a van towards Barangay (village) Lower Tomay after sensing they were dealing with undercover police agents.

Toda and Lorenzo were on the drug watchlists of Buguias town and Benguet province.

A caliber 38 revolver, a caliber 45 pistol, five sachets of suspected shabu and five sachets of marijuana were recovered from the crime scene. CBB
