De Lima to Aguirre: Evidence against me is fake–like your wig

Senator Leila de Lima continued her tirades on Tuesday, this time targeting Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II and his toupee.

“Secretary Aguirre’s alleged evidence against me is like his toupee, his wig – fake and cosmetics only. There is nothing into it other than that. Nothing’s authentic,” De Lima said in a statement.

“What is real however are the killings. What is tragic is that these killings continue unabated. And the criminals, including these so-called vigilantes, are getting bolder, while the victims are getting younger,” said De Lima, who initiated a Senate probe on the alleged extrajudicial killings in the country.

The senator pointed out that some 20,584 minors have reportedly been exploited into drug use and peddling.

“At this point, the Justice Department should instead focus its efforts on investigating and prosecuting the syndicates – the real culprits – who force these minors to go into drug pushing,” she added.

De Lima was reacting to Aguirre’s reported statement that he is now building up administrative and criminal cases against her.

Aguirre and President Rodrigo Duterte himself have accused De Lima of being involved in the illegal drug trade when she was still the Justice Secretary. But the lady senator has repeatedly denied the allegation.

De Lima earlier hit the President for allegedly being “fixated” on her sexual life.

“The President’s foul mouth has again desecrated the hollowed grounds of Malacañan with personal attacks against me,” she said in a statement on Monday.

“I cannot resist asking the President, what do you see in me that you find so sexual? Why is your mind so fixated on my sexual aspect? You are so obsessed with me. Why???” the senator asked.

Duterte has repeatedly talked about De Lima’s love life in public that at one point he called her an “immoral woman” for allegedly having an affair with a former driver. CDG/rga
