DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines — Starting today, Tuesday.  Kennon Road, one of the main thoroughfares to Baguio City, will be closed to traffic until Oct. 3, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways.

The 6-day road closure was due to a bridge construction at Camp 5 in Tuba town in Benguet.

Motorists headed for the summer capital are advised to take the Rosario-Pugo-Baguio Road in Rosario town, or the Marcos Highway in Agoo and Naguillian Road in Naguillian, all in La Union.

In Pangasinan province, a portion of the Urdaneta-Dagupan Road in Calasiao will also be closed to traffic from Oct. 1 to 2. This is to give way to the launching of steel girders for a pedestrian overpass project in front of Robinson’s Place in the town. Buses and light vehicles are advised to use the service roads around the mall in going to Dagupan and back. CBB/rga
