TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol—Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Bohol on Saturday arrested 16 suspected drug pushers and users and seized P50,000 worth of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) during a raid on a pension house here.

Lawyer Arcelito Albao, supervising agent of NBI-Bohol, said they monitored Randy Roble Rama,26, a resident of Calape town, in his illegal drug trade.

He said Rama was a notorious drug pusher in the city who peddled drugs from leased rooms in pension houses, inns and hotels.
Albao said Rama was peddling drugs in the city about 11 p.m. on Friday.

Past midnight, the suspect went to a pension house on Calceta Street in Barangay (village) Cogon and rented Room 20 where men came to buy shabu.
When the raiding team knocked on his room, Rama opened the door thinking that he was being visited by a buyer.

Rama was allegedly caught in the act of conducting a pot session and repacking shabu when the NBI agents arrived. Fifteen others, including a government employee, were also arrested.

Recovered from his possession were one big sachet and eight small strips of shabu worth P50,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Albao said they were preparing a complaint for the violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act against the suspects. CDG
