SAN PEDRO CITY, Laguna — Three people suspected to be involved in the illegal drug trade were killed in separate police operations in the provinces of Cavite, Laguna and Rizal on Wednesday and Thursday, while a victim of summary execution was found in Bacoor City, police said.

In Cavite, drug suspect Conrado Badillo died when he engaged an undercover policeman in a shootout during a drug bust at 1:45 a.m. Thursday in Barangay Silangan 1, in Rosario town.

A report from the Calabarzon regional police said the policeman bought P500 worth of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) from Badillo.

In Laguna, Cesar Olazo was killed in a buy bust operation in San Pedro City at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Olazo, police said, fired at undercover policemen, forcing the latter to retaliate.

Olazo was wounded but he died while being taken by policemen to the Amante District Hospital in San Pedro.

Police recovered P10,000 worth of shabu from Olazo.

In Rizal, Emmanuel Sumillano, who was wanted for a drug-related case, died in a shootout with policemen in Barangay (village) Caniogan-Calero-Lanang in Morong town at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday.

In Bacoor City in Cavite, a man was found dead in a grassy lot in Barangay Queensrow at 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said the victim’s face was wrapped with tape while his hands were tied with wire.  SFM
