Baguio manicurist on drug list shot dead at market

BAGUIO CITY– A 47-year-old manicurist was shot dead by an unidentified gunman at noon on Thursday (Sept. 22) at the public market.

Chona Oliveros was shot three times, according to the police. She had recently surrendered to the police upon learning her name was on a local drug watch list in Barangay (village) Zamora. No further details were made available at press time pending the investigation.

Last week, Baguio Mayor Mauricio Domogan ordered a task force to look into a series of shootings, some of which took place near schools.  SFM
