There will be longer nights in the Philippines after the autumnal equinox on Thursday, September 22.

“This year’s autumnal equinox will occur on September 22 at 10:21 p.m.,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its astronomical diary.
Philippine nights will be longer as the Sun moves below the celestial equator towards the southern hemisphere.
