Manila inmate found dead
A 48-YEAR-OLD inmate was found dead by a fellow inmate in a Manila police detention cell on Saturday.
The fatality was identified as Mario Sunga Santos, who was facing charges of attempted extortion and usurpation of authority, after an incident on Sept. 8, at 5:30 p.m., on Taft Ave. corner P. Ocampo St., Malate.
Santos was discovered lifeless around 6 a.m. near the Malate Police detention cell’s toilet by fellow detainee Joseph Taco.

Santos was rushed to Ospital ng Maynila but he was dead on arrival.
