2 ‘shabu buyers’ shoot dead woman in Lapu

A 33-year-old woman was shot dead by two unidentified men who went to her house in barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City, to buy shabu.

Evelyn Sabandal was shot in the head. She was declared dead by attending doctors at the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital.

The woman’s husband, Danny, told police that two men arrived in their house past 2 p.m. yesterday and looked for his wife.

Evelyn met the two men at the doorstep.

The husband said he overheard the two men telling his wife that they were there to buy shabu.

Evelyn told the two visitors that she was not selling drugs but the two men insisted.

The husband said he heard a gunshot and found his wife slumped on the floor with a gunshot wound in the forehead.

The assailants fled on board a brown car. No one was able to jot down the car’s plate number, said police.

Investigators will coordinate with the City Anti-illegal Drugs task Group as part of the investigation, said PO2 Luisito Ernie, homicide investigator of the Lapu-Lapu City police.
