At least eight drug suspects were killed by unidentified gunmen in separate incidents in Pasig, Quezon and Parañaque cities on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Amirudin Sani, 27, was chased and shot dead by three unidentified suspects inside Leticia Village, Caliwag, Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City, around 2 a.m. on Wednesday.
In Brgy. Rosario, Bonifacio Antonio, a 55-year old service operator, and 51-year-old electrician Mario Rosit were killed by three unidentified gunmen while they were drinking in front of a neighbor’s house around 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday.
In Brgy. Caniogan, a man was shot dead in the head and body by unidentified suspects at the corner of P. Conducto St. and Dr. Sixto Antonio Ave. around 10:10 p.m. on Tuesday.
A report to Eastern Police District Director Chief Supt. Romulo Sapitula, said the victim was included in the drug watch list.
Three drug suspects armed with guns and grenades were killed in an encounter with the police in Quezon City on Wednesday afternoon.
Quezon City Police District Masambong Police Station head Supt. Igmedio Bernaldez said about 30 of his men were conducting “Oplan Tokhang” at around 2:30 p.m. in Sitio San Roque, Brgy. Pagasa, when the suspects led by Alex Bacora alias “Dats” opened fire at the cops.
Recovered from the suspects were a .45-cal. pistol, .22-cal. gun, two hand grenades, sachets of “shabu” and other drug paraphernalia.
An unidentified woman was killed and a man was in critical condition after they were shot in the head by unidentified suspects believed to be vigilantes.
The victims were found around 12:45 a.m. at the corner of Wales Street and Levitown Road in Better Living Subdivision in Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City.
According to police investigation, both of the victims’ hands were tied behind their backs with cable wire.
Recovered from the scene were six fired cartridges of .45-cal. pistol, two sachets of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, four aluminum foil strips and a cigarette lighter.
In San Juan City, five people were arrested in a suspected drug den near Camp Crame on Wednesday morning.
Arrested were Ma. Theresa “Tikang” Tolentino, 59, at No. 19P of Road 9, 1st West Street; and Eduardo Solis of No. 10, also of Road 9, 1st West Street.
Three more drug suspects were caught in the act of sniffing shabu. They were identified as Marvelluz Jimenez, 26, stylist; Marlon Vizcarra, 33; and Alejandro Ebonite, 42, a helper, all from Brgy. West Crame.
Recovered from them were four sachets of shabu, aluminum foils with traces of shabu, and various drug paraphernalia. The three face violation of sections 11, 13, and 14 of Republic Act No. 9165, pending the result of their drug test.
