Footage from a security camera showed the sister of actress Maritoni Fernandez, Moynihan, was still alive when she alighted from a vehicle along Temple Avenue in Quezon City early Saturday.
The two-minute footage from a nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) presented by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) to media on Tuesday revealed that Ma. Aurora Moynihan was apparently shot by another person who also got off the dark grey Toyota Fortuner (not silver as earlier reported) on the southbound lane of Temple Drive at around 1:50 a.m.
The vehicle had made a U-turn near Giraffe Street then let the two passengers off from the back passenger door near a house at No. 8 Temple Drive. It only took around 30 seconds when the first passenger, whom the police identified as Moynihan, was shot by the second passenger who also placed the cardboard which had the text “Drug pusher ng mga celebrities, kasunod na kayo!”
Moynihan was seen falling on the side of the road before the vehicle sped off in the direction of White Plains Avenue.
The 45-year-old Moynihan, one of three daughters of the late British Lord Antony Moynihan, was found dead, with gunshot wounds in her chest and abdomen, along the road in Barangay Ugong Norte at around 2 a.m. The road serves as an access way for residents of three posh villages in the area—Greenmeadows, Corinthian Hills and White Plains.
Police said two witnesses reported hearing five gunshots from the location of the Fortuner.
Recovered from Moynihan, according to the police, were four sachets of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride), 4 pieces of aluminum foil, an improvised glass tooter, P470 in cash, two cell phones and other personal belongings.
QCPD head Senior Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar said they submitted the footage to the PNP’s Anti-Cybercrime Group for enhancement since the CCTV camera was a few meters away from where Moynihan was shot.
