Cagayan classes suspended due to Typhoon Ferdie
TUGUEGARAO CITY—Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba suspended classes from pre-school to senior high school in both private and public schools on Tuesday (Sept. 13) as a precaution against the expected onslaught of Typhoon “Ferdie” (international name: Meranti).
Mamba also advised villagers to flee to evacuation sites or higher grounds as the typhoon is expected to pound northern Cagayan with moderate to heavy rains.
