SAN PEDRO CITY, Laguna — Two suspected drug pushers were killed in separate anti-drug operations in Rizal and Cavite provinces on Wednesday and Thursday, police said.

In Cavite, police said Michael Angelo Alba, 42, engaged policemen and anti-narcotics agents in a gunfight as they tried to serve a search warrant in Barangay Talaba 6 in Bacoor City at 5:30 a.m.

Supt. Chitadel Gaoiran, information officer of the regional police in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon), said policemen recovered a .38-gun and two sachets of marijuana from Alba.

In Rizal, police said Jesie Norona, alias Jing-Jing, 38, resisted arrest and shot undercover policemen in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Antipolo City on Wednesday afternoon.
An emailed report from the Rizal police said policemen recovered the suspect’s gun and 16 sachets of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride).  SFM
