Suspected pusher slain in Quezon police operation

LUCENA CITY, Quezon — A suspected drug pusher was killed in a shootout with policemen who were serving him a search warrant in Infanta town in Quezon province on Tuesday, police said.

Senior Supt. Antonio Yarra, Quezon police director, said the suspect, Camaloden Sarip, 40, drew his gun as he stopped policemen from entering his house in Barangay Poblacion Bantilan.

Sarip was hit as policemen returned fire. He died while being taken to the Claro M. Recto Hospital in Infanta.
