ZAMBOANGA CITY — Six persons survived from the collapse of a box culvert in Barangay Boalan here on Monday.

Elmer Apolinario, the City Disaster Risk and Reduction Management (CDRRM) officer, said two of the workers escaped on their own, while three others were rescued at past 6 p.m. or almost three hours after being trapped following the crash.

Another worker who was pinned down by a concrete slab, was rescued at 8 p.m..

The victims were brought to the Zamboanga Peninsula Medical Center.  SFM
