Parts of Luzon will have rainy weather due to the southwest monsoon, the state weather bureau said Monday.
Monsoon rain which may trigger flashfloods and landslides will be experienced over Zambales, Bataan, the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
A low pressure area was tracked 430 kilometers east northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough, Pagasa said.
Winds elsewhere will be light to moderate coming from the south to southwest with slight to moderate seas, it added./rga
