Three found dead, 2 killed in Nueva Ecija
CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines—Three people, including a 48-year-old woman, were found dead from what may have been summary executions on Friday (Sept. 2).
The bodies of Imelda Cando and Noel Esquivel were found hogtied, their heads wrapped with cloth, along the circumferential road in MS Garcia village at 3:30 a.m. Investigators found two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine) at the crime scene, said PO1 Ted Elsinore Go, who is probing their deaths.
At 6:20 a.m., the remains of Venerando Esteban was found dead in Q. Valino St. in Barangay (village) Aduas Sur. Forensic investigators also found two sachets near the body which was hogtied. Esteban’s head was wrapped in cloth.
At 9:15 a.m., Edgar Leonardo was riding a motorcycle when he was shot dead by motorcycle riding gunmen who were trailing behind him.
In Aliaga town on Thursday (Sept. 1), Arnold Macapagal was killed in an alleged shootout with policemen in a buy-bust operation at 11:00 p.m. in Barangay Umangan.
The fatality was carrying 5 plastic sachets of suspected shabu and a homemade caliber .38 revolver.
