The Department of Tourism is thinking of changing the country’s tourism slogan “to show them that we have a new Philippines.”
“Yes, definitely,” Tourism Secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo told a press briefing on Thursday. “We will change it by next year.”
Teo said the new slogan would be reflective of the change happening in the country.
“It’s more on change. We would like to show them that we have a new Philippines,” she said.
The tourism department, she said, was now working to come up with the new slogan.
“We’re working on (it). We have contacted an advertising company to submit. So, probably by mid-next year,” she said.
According to Teo, the Philippines is expecting six million tourist arrivals this year and half of it has been achieved.
The tourism campaign of the country—“It’s more fun in the Philippines”—has been in use since 2010, during the term of former President Benigno Aquino III./rga
