Priest blesses Ponce house amid ghost haunting reports
AFTER rumors spread about ghosts haunting the Ponce residence in Talisay City, the house was blessed yesterday and framed pictures and statues displayed in the house were burned.
Fr. Roy Cabradilla of Mary’s Little Children Community who officiated the blessing said spirits imitate images and hide in statues.
Lone survivor Embrelaince Therjoy “Ember” Ponce and her relatives and the police attended the blessing.
Emmanuel Ponce, an ex-seaman, killed his wife Melinda and children Ellaine Grace, Heather Joy and Emlin Bridge and their housemaid Anastacia Deniega in their house in Palm View Village, Tabunok, Talisay.
Emmanuel also shot himself after the shooting spree. He spared his youngest child Ember.
Thelma Bellones, Emmanuel’s relative, said they blessed the house hoping to send away the spirits whom neighbors and barangay tanods said roam the house at night after the gruesome killing last Sunday.
