Danish riders to join Carcar motocross
SIX Danish riders are expected to join in the 2nd Nice Apura Invitational International Motocross Cup on Nov. 13 at the Sitio Liboron grounds in Carcar City.
The competition is expected to also attract some of the country’s best aside from the Danish riders, who will compete in 14 categories.
“So far this is the biggest motocross race to happen in Cebu, particularly here in Carcar City,” said Mayor Nicepuro Apura during Wednesday’s official launching at the Baseline Recreation Center. “It is also one of the biggest in the country because foreign riders are involved in this race.”
The Danish will arrive on Nov. 3 to be headed by Yenz Nielsen.
Last year, the race attracted 120 riders. Cebuano multi-titled rider Pepo Rubi, who is one of the organizers, is expecting more competitors this year.
The vaunted Sel-J Racing of Manila will send its ace riders to compete against the Danish and Cebu’s top bets in Jon Eleazar Adlawan of the Power Sports Racing, Josephus Abellar, Andrew Canlas and Ian Reyes, who will compete in the expert class.
