A thunderstorm on Friday afternoon triggered flooding in some parts of Metro Manila.

As of 5:30 p.m., the Metro Manila Development Authority has reported flood levels at gutter deep on the J. P. Rizal-Guadalupe intersection westbound and knee-deep in Edsa-Pasong Tamo tunnel in Makati City, and knee-deep in both directions of Rizal-R. Papa in Manila.

The state weather bureau issued a thunderstorm advisory shortly before 5 p.m.

Thunderstorm is affecting Metro Manila (Pasay, Manila, Quezon City, San Juan, Camanava), Rizal (Cainta, Cardona), Bulacan, Bataan and portions of Zambales.

Expect thunderstorm over Cavite, Laguna and other areas of Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan and Bataan in the next two hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
