MCWD warns public against swindlers

THE Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) is warning the public not to believe in unscrupulous individuals pretending to be MCWD employees and offering to desludge their septic tanks for a fee.

The MCWD management clarified that while it is true there is a plan to put up septage treatment plants within its franchise area, talks with the local government units are still ongoing on the septage management program.

The project is yet to be implemented and the public will be properly consulted about this.

MCWD has received reports that there are individuals approaching some households, introducing themselves as MCWD employees and offering to desludge their septic tanks for a fee.
