Nurse found slain in QC pad
The police are investigating the brutal killing of a nurse who was found with 19 stab wounds inside her Quezon City apartment early Saturday.
PO2 Louie Serbito of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit identified the victim as September Ann Paz, a nurse at St. Luke’s Medical Center and a tenant on Doña Juana Rodriguez Street, Barangay Kristong Hari.
The victim’s valuables inside the apartment appeared to be untouched when the body was discovered in the bedroom around 6:15 a.m., the investigator noted.
Paz, a 24-year-old from Sarrat, Ilocos Norte province, was renting the apartment with a fellow nurse. She was on her rest day on Saturday while her colleague’s shift was from 8:45 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, Serbito said.
Serbito said the other tenants called up the landlord, Ronald Viana, after they heard someone moaning in pain in the victim’s unit around 4:45 a.m. They tried calling Paz on her mobile phone but got no response.
A barangay official, Larito Ruzgan, later arrived to check and discovered the nurse lying on her bed bleeding.
