Retired cop, live-in partner shot dead in Cagayan

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan — A retired police officer and his girlfriend were killed on Tuesday morning (Aug. 16) by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Cagayan’s Sanchez Mira town.

Roger Perlas, 57, and Michelle Madrid, 29, were shot multiple times in front of the Cagayan State University campus in Centro 2 village at 10:27 a.m., police said.
