Court work suspended? Sereno leaves decision to executive judges

Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno has authorized executive judges of trial courts in areas affected by monsoon rain to suspend work within their respective jurisdictions.

The High Court’s information chief clarified that no work suspension is being ordered for the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, the Sandiganbayan and the Court of Tax Appeals.

The High Tribunal issued the advisory following rainfall warnings issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
