MANILA, Philippines- Three high school students were buried in a landslide in Negros Occidental, killing two of them, police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said Friday.
According to Cruz, the landslide occurred in Barangay (village) Calicanan, Pamplona, Negros Occidental around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
The victims were identified as Kiram Quibate, Leogen Baya and Beltran Anfone Jr., students of Calicanan National High School.
All three were rushed to the hospital after being buried by the landslide but Quibate and Baya were declared dead on arrival by attending physicians.
Anfone was said to be in stable condition, said the PNP spokesperson.
