The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Wednesday released the results of the recent physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) board examinations.

Data from PRC showed that a total of 846 out of 1,243 examinees passed the PT board exam, while 114 out of 229 passed the OT licensure test.

The University of Santo Tomas topped the PT board exam with 96.34 percent or 79 passers out of 82 examinees, while the Cebu Doctors’ University emerged as top-performing school in the OT exam with a 90.48-percent passing rate (19 passers out of 21 examinees).

The PRC requires 50 or more examinees and with at least 80-percent passing rate for a school to be declared top-performing.

James Michael Hernandez of the Angeles University Foundation topped the PT exam with 90.25-percent passing rate, while Marjorie Arpon of Velez College topped the OT test with 82 percent.

The exams were administered by the Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy in Manila, Baguio, and Cebu this August. YG
