The state weather bureau on Tuesday was tracking a low pressure area (LPA) over northern Luzon

The LPA was last spotted 1,200 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Parts of Luzon will have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms.

Areas affected by the southwest monsoon in Luzon are Metro Manila, Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Calabarzon and the provinces of Bataan, Zambales and Mindoro.

Western Visayas and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms is expected over the rest of the country.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail throughout the entire archipelago and coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
