Wash-athon clothes donation turns 3

KEEPING with its commitment of “Thinking of You,” the annual washing of clothes by Electrolux has run for three years now.

Last Sept. 16, a bigger Clothes and Hugs Wash-athon culminated with more five tons of clothes washed at the Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu.

Clothes and Hugs Wash-athon has become an annual advocacy of Electrolux to reach out to those in need. They do not just deliver clothes but they give out clothes that are already washed and cleaned.

This year, Electrolux reached out to several provinces in Luzon and the Visayas. Electrolux Laundry mobile went to the different areas to collect clothes, launder them with Electrolux washing machines and then donate them to ABS-CBN Foundation, ABS-CBN Tabang Patrol and DZRH’s Operation Tulong.

The culminating activity was highlighted with the ceremonial washing attended by the partners of the event including representatives from Ayala Center Cebu and Metro Ayala.  Leslee B. Morales
