ORMOC CITY—A gun and P80,000 worth of “shabu” were seized from a 16-year-old boy who was arrested in a buy-bust operation on Friday night.
The minor was brought to the drop-in center of the city social welfare and development.
His brother, who managed to escape during the buy bust, would be charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The boy said he owned the small sachet bought by an undercover policeman but not the entire 11 sachets and the gun allegedly recovered by the police inside a clutch bag.
Supt. Joel Camacho, city public safety group team leader, said they received a tip that the boy and his half-brother, Glenn Dagatan, were reportedly selling shabu in Barangay Macabug, Ormoc City.
He said an undercover policeman bought P500 worth of shabu from the two brothers about 11 p.m. on Friday.
When the other policemen pounced on the suspects, Dagatan managed to run away but left his younger brother.
