San Carlos City vice mayor – rumored drug user, pusher — passes drug tests
SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union — Vice Mayor Julier Resuello of Pangasinan’s San Carlos City passed drug tests conducted by the Ilocos regional offices of three government agencies on Wednesday.
The tests processed by the National Bureau of Investigation, the Philippine National Police and the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center concluded that Resuello, 38, had not taken illegal narcotics.
Resuello said he volunteered to undergo drug tests to belie allegations that he was a drug user and drug pusher.
When asked, the vice mayor also admitted he feared for his and his family’s lives.
“Anybody would be afraid, even when you know you have nothing to do with [drugs]… because of these killings,” he said.

Even if you don’t use drugs, the public’s minds are being conditioned by detractors [that you consume drugs]. What if someone would ride on the issue and kill you… and destroy your name,” said Resuello, a former city mayor.
