Twister hits 4 Bohol villages, damages 10 houses

BACLAYON, Bohol – A twister struck four villages in Baclayon town, Bohol province on Sunday afternoon and damaged at least 10 houses, according to police.

PO1 Versil Comique of Baclayon Police Station said the whirlwind, locally known as “ipo-ipo,” hit the villages of Poblacion, San Vicente, Landican and San Roque about 5:30 p.m.

Comique said the affected houses were damaged while some trees were uprooted.

“It was strong that it tore off roofs,” he said in a  phone interview.

Comique said no villager was injured.
